Hello World.
I received this one in an email (from my mother, if you were wondering), and I find it hilarious.

i’m not sure why thats JUST for me…I think we should all take a leaf out of Daniel Kitch’s book, and all share in the love of jesus. So that we can get him drunk on sacramental wine and then steal his VCR.
Well haters, sometime today (We can’t confirm when) after extensive detecting by our detective team (thats what they do) we established that the hostage taker was none other that that curly haired whackjob you all know and love as Oskar. His real name is Alfonzo the Bandit.
We traced his messages to a computer in his Inner-West bunker and we stormed the hidey-hole to recover all images, and a very distraught and elderly Eva Braun, who clearly got confused about which bunker and warlord she was hanging with.
Rejoice! All is well in the Drop Bears Online empire!

Ha! This is so cool…m paying like $5K a year, and at the moment I’m reading Dave’s website which hasnt been updated in yonks, and Im doing so from a UWS library in the middle of nowhere! I love accumulated HECS debts, it’s like postponing responsibility.
Furthermore, I can’t help but think that they don’t make keyboards like they used to…I keep looking back to find missing letters, which is like, so gay. But the IBM Model M keyboard which was released in the early 80’s is the best keyboard I’ve ever used. My one still works and shits on these fangle thingos with silly shortcut buttons…and Dave before you try and say that it’s useless on modern PCs, I’ll just point out that it was also the first Keyboard to use the PS2 connector. Go 80’s technology!
I believe the reason that keyboard has yet to be surpassed was that it used metal-to-metal contacts under each key, not the metal-to-circut type that modern keyboards use. This is a much more expensive way of making the keyboard, thus it is not often used anymore.
(And there are reasons I haven’t updated in a while - been busy at uni, and, more importantly, a very recent death in the family. It’ll all be back soon, probably later today.)
Sorry to hear. Yes, you’re quite right about the contacts. It gives it a much better sound too. To prove my point, there is an example on Ebay for more than $50.[ http://cgi.ebay.com.au/IBM-Keyboard-Year-1982-model-M-Made-in-USA_W0QQitemZ5871616114QQcategoryZ4706QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ] The same money would buy two or three wireless Keyboard and Mouse combos. The thinking man types on Model M and smokes Peterson.
I’ve just realised I’m not alone in my adoration for this keyboard-cum-alleyway weapon.

Myf, if you want office cred at Telstra, you’ll get your hands on one of these, and rattle away annoyingly (they can be heard through concrete walls) at whatever it is you do…
Ok…I might be a nerd…The first step to solving your problems is admitting you have them…
