I think I’ve just ruined my child-hood memories.

Hello World.
Some sick and twisted person has mashed Toy Story 2 and Requiem for a Dream together, with astonishing results.

The original large version can be found here.
On a related note, the music used in the video is a remix of Dirtbag by Brad Sucks, my favourite one-man band. You can download his album for free from his website.

For some reasons those embedded video clips never work for me…they just sit there saying ‘Loading’ This is only with the YouTube ones, as embedded Media Player windows work fine on other sites…Perhaps you could include a link to a downloadable file (as you have for this post)in future posts for those of us with irreparably silly computers.
I’m listening to AC/DC and loving it! (but don’t i always??) yeah thats right, oskars in town, thats right, the vaggabond dynamo, and the sherrifs badge don’t cut the mustard, aint nobody gonna stop the man they call, ‘the man’, so lock up your daughters, and pay your porters, cause your taking as much luggage to that car, and your drivin till dawn, cause i’m like a bomb, bout to detinate, thats why they call me the ‘hot white flash’, yeeeeeeeeeeeeah, ouch!
p.s. fuck requim for a dream, it can be sumed up in one hilarious sentence by a much better storyteller Mr Mackey ‘Drugs are bad, mkay….’
Unfortunately, films such as Reqiuem for a Dream (you can’t underline in this thing…how improper. McFaz would be devastated) and Trainspotting, which are about the (terrible) effect of drugs on people’s lives, do nothing but glorify drugs in the minds of idiot teenagers. I remember Ben telling me that ‘Requiem’ changed his life, and because of the closing scene, would never watch porn. The connection made confused me, as I saw the message of the last scene as
“If you become a heroin junkie, you may well end up doig pornography to fund your habit”
NOT
“Isn’t a pity this really cool alternative chick who probably listens to ‘The Clash’ and has dark hair has to be a prostitute…now who wants to go to Newtown and act like twats around twats”
Peoples views on pornography aside, Ben was encouraged by the films. Never mind scenes of a baby dying in a cot as his mother struggles to find a syringe (accuracy may be skeewiff, I recall this to be a scene from Trainspotting). Apparently thats alternative, cos like, she doesn’t care.
In this mini-tirade, I lump Hannah in there as well. From what I gathered at the time, she also missed the point of the films (If I’m worng Hannah, say so).
You can tell people are talking self-serving bullshit when their voices become airy and seemingly intelligent people use the phrase “you know” to fill in huge gaps in their arguments.
For example:
Ben: “Requiem” changed my life. I’ll never watch porn because of that end scene
Tom: I’m not sure thats the point Ben. The film is about how drugs have ruined these peoples lives, not a 90 minute introduction to the evils of pornography.
Ben: Yeh, but, you know, how can you say that porography is acceptable. You know what, you’re a mysoginist
Tom: No I’m not, I’m pointing out how you’ve once again missed the point.
Ben: (becomes violent and only-child like)
The joke was on Ben…his life is defined by his silly firesticks, constant sackings and a girlfriend who cheats on him by sleeping with his ex-girlfriend.

You can click on the YouTube logo to be taken to the page where it is hosted and see if it works there instead. If not, these videos are embedded flash files, so check you have the latest version of flash player (and all other related plugins). I don’t want to be difficult, it’s just that it is sometimes impossible for me to link to the original file (if i get it in an email, or a temporary link, for example) and services such as YouTube are the only reliable and feasible hosting that I can use for free.

Ok….
Not in response to anything:
I have managed to avoid Requiem for a Dream up until now, because I don’t like movies that make me depressed. However I have recently learned that I will have to watch it for Uni. Oh joy.
