Pendulumeca is a strange game in which you must swing pendulum-style across the screen avoiding the spikes at the bottom.

Point at the grey blocks at the top and click to swing. Un-click to let go. Repeat.

The grey areas you can grab onto get smaller and further apart as you progress, thus making this game quite challenging.

New Messenger

It's not the usual type of stuff I do here, but I thought I'd just give all of you a little heads up regarding a new (beta) version of MSN Messenger.

It has changed its name to Windows Live Messenger, but in reality it is just MSN Messenger 8.

I've been playing with it for a little while and it seems to be almost exactly like the current MSN Messenger (7.5?), except for a few aesthetic changes. The best improvement I've seen is the ability to remove some of the more annoying elements via the options menu (such as those stupid tabs down the side). There are a few other things also such as Folder Sharing and offline messages (messages that will be received the next time the recipient logs on).

Anyway, just thought I'd let you know, because I know many of you use it.

If you've ever read fantasy books, seen any of the Lord of the Rings films, played Magic: The Gathering or even been in the presence of a Harry Potter novel, you'll probably appreciate Epic Legends of the Heirarchs: The Elemenstor Saga, or ELotH:TES for short.

ELotH:TES is a world built through a Collectible Card Game, thirteen novels and two TV series (the Japanese original and the American rip off, naturally). The breadth and scope of it rivals Tolkien's work. The only thing is, it's all fake.

The whole thing was derived from one small post on Penny Arcade, and since then has been ever expanding through additions and corrections by hundreds of "fans". There is a short article explaining the whole thing here.

Oh, and it's absolutely hilarious.

Though it is beleived by those wiser than some that these are actually just Eldritch Beings Beyond Comprehension wearing women's clothes, as Eldritch Beings Beyond Comprehension are Hermaphroditic, and apparently must delude themselves into thinking they have genders to get over the shame of procreating, which is often moot anyways because one of the Eldritch Beings Beyond Comprehension will most likely "Totally Freak out" if he found out he'd gotten an Eldritch Chick pregnant.
