A site I have linked to in the past is thedropbears.cjb.net. Well, not long ago, that site was officially abandoned by it’s author and left to rot in the dirt.

Don’t fret, however, because like a phoenix rising from whatever it is phoenix rise from, Tom H-B has resurrected the dry wit and angry ranting that made thedropbears such an unpleasant place to be and put it into the form of a new site - Dropped!

Update on the updates.

It doesn't take a genius to realise that there have not been too many updates on this 'ere website of late. Let me tell you why:

• A general slowness of material that I can post. I don't know why, but I just haven't found much lately that is post-worthy.
• Tinkering with my laptop. I have been doing stuff with my laptop such as adding bluetooth for my new phone, and more importantly, adding a new HDTV tuner!
• Playing WoW.
• Setting up a new server for The Patch! This has taken the most amount of effort and time. I am attempting to set up a proper web-server to host The Cabbage Patch, which will allow me to create a far bigger and better website. Seeing as I have never done this before, however, it is taking a little while. Bare with me, it should be ready soon.

So, I know excuses are not what you want, but those are some of the reasons why there haven't been many updates. And, unfortunately, until I get the server up and running, they may continue to come slowly.

A few of you have been very persistently asking for the return of the site counter. Well it's back, kinda.

Due to now having two sets of data (one for the old site, one for the new) being counted by two different counting systems, I have had to try to combine the two into one counter. So what you see over there on the sidebar is an approximation of the total visitors from both versions of The Cabbage Patch. It should be basically correct, however.

There is also the issue of the display of the counter. On the old site it was a large graphic, however I have a little less space here to work with at the moment, so it is a smaller image. This may be rectified in the future.

Oh, and Tom, I have no idea what you meant by "before David complains that our 8 month total [1600] can't possibly be higher than his hits for an entire year". If my calculations are correct, you received around 6 or 7 hits a day. I am currently getting an average of 40-50 per day. I'm not complaining.
