Perturbing Podcast Problem
Hello World.
I have been attempting to finalise and upload the last episode of the SURG recordings as you have all been requesting, but I have run into a rather large problem. A majority of the recording (over half) is unsalvageable. It is mostly silence which, when amplified, becomes static. No matter what I do to it, I can’t make it audible.
Therefore I pose this question - is it worth while for me to cut together a makeshift episode (probably around 20 minutes of actual show) or to simply abandon this one? If you really want it, I’ll work on it, but otherwise I won’t bother.
Kak-kak-kak… Fly-by!
Hello World.
In a recent comment, James asked for more games, saying “it’s been years” since the last one. Well, the last one was, in fact, only a month ago. You can find it, and all the other games I’ve posted, by exploring the Games category or using the search box on the sidebar.
But, seeing as at least one of you are requesting another game, I bring you one now.

It’s called SWFROADS and it is a flash-based copy of the classic Skyroads we all played in years gone by.
If you don’t remember Skyroads, the premise is simple - you are a small space ship of some kind racing along the eponymous skyroads. You must navigate your way down these tracks by jumping and strafing. Easy.
Podcast: SURG Radio Episode 2
Hello World.
There has been a huge wait, but finally Episode 2 of our SURG Radio program has arrived.
This show originally went on air on Friday 8th Sept on SURG USU fm, 90.9 in Sydney. It is hosted by Tom HB (of “dropped“), James Fletcher and myself.
Again, for legal reasons, I’ve had to remove the music, but you’re only interested in our lovely voices anyway, aren’t you? There are some sound issues in certain parts because of reception issues on the recording. I’ve had to remove a lot of static (because the voices were inaudible over it) and as a result there is some distortion occasionally. I’ve tried to equalise the volume as much as possible, but there may be some parts which are quieter or louder than others.
Also, for some reason it starts halfway through a sentence. But from what I can remember, it’s halfway through the first sentence, so it’s ok.
Thanks go to Sheridan again for recording the program.

Podcast delay
Hello World.
On the radio yesterday I promised that the next episode of the SURG podcast would be available this morning. Unfortunately it has taken a little longer than I anticipated and it will instead be posted later this afternoon. Bare with me.
Photos: Last Day of SURG
Hello World.
As you may know, it was SURG USU fm’s final broadcast for 2006 yesterday, and Tom, James and I were given the honour of closing out the station’s run. And naturally, we took photos of ourselves doing so.
You can experience for yourself the technological marvel that is SURG fm by viewing these lovely shots (as always) as thumbnails, in detail or in a slideshow.
Sure beats zoom zoom
Hello World.
This is a new ad for the Honda Civic, and it is truly amazing (the ad, not the car).
You can’t beat that with a stick! Oh, wait…
Hello World.
The kid in this video is four years old. Bear that in mind while watching.
Sorry
Hello World.
Sorry about the recent lack of updates. Life has a tendency to get in the way occasionally. There will be updates on their way shortly.
PS. Arrrr!

Well, it’s taken a few days, but it’s finally here - The Cabbage Patch / SURG Radio Podcast!

Photos: Sam’s in Town!
Hello World.
Samantha’s in town for a week, so naturally we met up at her place to say hi.
You can see my photos from the day as thumbnails or in detail.
Sam herself has also posted a few shots, which you can see as thumbnails or in detail.
Also, don’t you think this is the scariest-looking photo ever taken?
