Smells Like Orchestral Spirit

Posted by Dave

Hello World.

This is a cool video of a high-school orchestra playing Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit.  It’s actually quite a nice song once you remove Kurt Cobain from the equation.

  1. The Paul Anka version is good too - its in a Jazz style…it was in my car a month or so ago, so you might have heard it…

    …Limewire it.

  3. Ahem.

Perhaps its my work computer doing funny things, I don’t know…but I notice that you’re blogroll has been substantially downsized to just 4 links. In fact, down to the only 4 links I would never click on - furthermore, dropped has also been, how do I say, dropped, from the list.

This has forced me to type in the URL for WaiterRant on my own…normally I click the link when I’m done here and move on to DaRant…

    This is a major inconvenience…

  5. Please fix my typo. “you’re” should be “your”.

  7. 1. I’m not responsible for fixing your grammar, so no.

    2. The blogroll links appear to be working fine here, in both Firefox and IE7, so it’s probably a problem at your end. Try to clear the cache and reload.

    3. I haven’t heard the Paul Anka version of this song, but I have got his version of The Cure’s Lovecats. It’s brilliant.

  9. It’s still stuffed even after a Ctrl. F5 reload of the whole kit and kaboodle…
It’s only showing Technorati, LastFM, Newsvine and Bash.Org…as I say, possibly the four most irrelevant and pointless links.

  11. Hmmm…. those are the four that I didn’t make. The rest are on my Flickr account, which would probably mean the problem is there somewhere. But I can still see all of them (Flickr hosted or not) from any browser whether I am logged in to Flickr or not.

Is Flickr, as a whole, perhaps being blocked by your network or computer?

  13. You’ve hit the nail on the head…I totally forgot that I block all images from flickr and wordpress so that when I’m reading through or editing Dropped while at work it isn’t totally obvious to a passer by that it’s my website, and so that images with me in them don’t cache on the server.

Good thinking 99! Now fix my typos, or activate an editing option…I’m sure its possible…

  15. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HA HA HA! HA! Just make sure Max don’t see that Tom. How would you survive? Your just gonna have to learn English again. That’ll learn ya for doing Rabbit Proof Fence! Ha! HAHAHA!

  17. That wily David Purcell is still yet to fix the typos…

As for your post James, is it intentionally riddled with mistakes, for the purpose of irony, or what?

I count 3 rather bad grammtical mistakes? Spelling typos are alright - that’s just key mashing, but a grammatical mistake indicates that you’re just on the wrong path altogether…

As John White would say .. …. ..
